On Sunday the 19th November, A group of intrepid Cubs, with help from other members of their group, set out from Scholes Scout HQ on a sponsored hike to the Leeds Children’s Hospital Learning Zone where the 1st Leeds Children’s hospital Guide and Scout Group meet. The Cubs were raising money for the Children’s Hospital Guide and Scout Group so the Children in Hospital can access Scouting and Guiding every week for free as part of the Youth Commissioner’s Challenge.
After 8 hours of walking, 22 km and over 32,000 steps EACH, they arrived to celebrate their achievement. County Youth Commissioner Matthew joined the Cubs along the way and presented the tired but proud group with their Youth Commissioner Badge along with the Leaders of the Scholes and 1st LCH Group.
What a fantastic achievement from Scholes Cubs! We are so proud of their dedication and help in raising funds for the Youth Commissioner’s Challenge.
Well done, and a massive BRAVO to all those who took part and helped.
