The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group, for young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. We promote fun, friendship, and a foundation of skills that will set them up for life.

Beaver scout activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be and stay safe and most importantly making friends.

They often work as part of a team and belong to a ‘Lodge’ within their ‘Colony’ working together to complete challenges.

They have opportunities to take part in larger events with other Colonies across their District and County. These can include fun activity days, celebrations and camps.
