Adult Recruitment – We’re here to help

Recruiting adults into scouting is vitally important and often challenging, particularly as we emerge from the pandemic. Wetherby District wants to help you with this in any way we can.

We started by running a successful recruitment workshop on 14th September. One of the sessions explored in more detail how the District can best support Groups with recruitment. We are looking at all the ideas generated and you will be hearing more about them later as we start to put them into practice.

To aid Groups we now have an Adult Recruitment section on the website here.

This includes the recruitment workshop presentation from Elizabeth Wells, the Central Yorkshire Growth and Development Officer, and the pack of handouts given to all participants. The pack includes recruitment ‘Top Tips’ and links to the wealth of recruitment support and materials available on The Scouts website and brand centre.

This information is hosted on our newly-established Sharepoint site for adult recruitment, which is open to everyone to read and copy from. It is intended to be a useful source of advice and information for anyone involved in recruiting adults into scouting.
