What a fantastic weekend away at Ennerdale Scout Centre!

Over the bank holiday weekend, 37 Explorers and 10 leaders headed off on a 4 day, 3 night adventure in the Lake District.

Friday was all about travelling up, getting camp set up, enjoying some hotdogs, and settling in with a chilled evening around camp.

On Saturday, the group split in two. Half took on a 12km hike ticking off three Wainwrights — Grike, Lank Rigg, and Crag Fell  — while the other half completed an 11km hike around the stunning Ennerdale Water.

Sunday started bright and early as the group split in half for the morning. One group hiked up to Seat How, covering just over 6km, while the other took on the Go Ape course. After lunch, the groups swapped over so everyone got to experience both activities!

Monday was a more relaxed finish to the trip, with some shooting activities while camp was packed down before heading home.

A huge well done to all of our Explorers for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience throughout the weekend — and thank you to all the leaders who helped make the trip possible.
