DISTRICT TRADING POST – Saturday 12th March – Tadcaster

For many years Wetherby District Cub Trading Post has been hosted by Tadcaster Scout Group. The event this year was the first since 2019, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

For those Leaders who have attended these events in the past it was great for them to meet up again with the Cubs

In total 22 Cubs took part and everyone was really enjoying themselves, working on codes, making toast, tasting crisps, using the traversing wall, ironing neckers, welly wanging (still got to work out how to get a welly down from the scout hut roof), naming badges etc, etc etc.

And the smiles on the faces of the parents and Leaders just shows how much they enjoyed the afternoon also. A massive thank you to all the adults present.

So, now to the results!

In third place were “The Terrific Three”, from Tadcaster, with £2460.

In second place were “Fenton’s Fabulous Four”, with £2780

In first place we had “The Legends”, from Tadcaster, with £2850.

So well done to those three teams and all of the other competitors. It was a very close competition.

We look forward to hosting the event again next year, with even more participants.
