District Appointments Advisory Committee Members

Could you help us to appoint adult volunteers and make people who are new to scouting feel welcome?

If so, we could use your skills and experience on the Wetherby District Appointments Advisory Committee. We would particularly welcome younger adults, especially those aged 18 to 25 years.

Our Appointments Panel usually meets monthly and is made up of three volunteers from the Appointments Advisory Committee. The panel’s role is to make people feel welcomed, support them to understand the role they are taking on and make sure they are on board with scouting values and policies.

Previous scouting experience is not necessary as full training and support will be provided.
You will be supported by the Appointments Committee Chair and these roles require a DBS check.

For more information or an informal chat about these roles, please contact Izzy Bee at appointmentschair@wetherbydistrictscouts.org.uk
