Group Scout Leaders

Do you a passion for scouting and the enthusiasm to help a Scout Group to thrive?

If so, we could use your experience, skills and talents to support one of the Scout Groups in Wetherby District. The main focus of a Group Scout Leader is to support the leaders and other adult volunteers to deliver a challenging, exciting and balanced programme across all sections.

You will be supported by the District Commissioner, who will guide you through the training, and by the Group Executive Committee. You will also be a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, which is a charity trustee role.

These roles require a DBS check and your training will lead to a Managers and Supporters Wood Badge (you have up to 3 years to complete this).

For more information or an informal chat about these roles, please contact our DC at dc@wetherbydistrictscouts.org.uk

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
